How Does It Work?
The TORUN HT Digi operates with a dual interface:
- Serial Interface: Enumerates as a COM (Windows) or ttyACM port (Linux) for radio programming and PTT control. It now supports dual-state PTT (DTR=1 and RTS=0) for greater reliability.
- Soundcard Interface: Provides access to audio data channels with mono microphone and speaker functionality. Supported baud rates range from 48,000 Hz (preferred) to 8,000 Hz, ensuring compatibility with various applications.
Firmware Enhancements
Starting with firmware version 1.2.0, we’ve introduced a CM108-style PTT interface, enabling smoother operation with software like Direwolf on Linux. While some warnings may appear in Direwolf, they are harmless and will be addressed in future upstream updates.
