✓ SOFTWARE v1.3.1 — CLI menu · Screen rotation · Clean screensaver

Up and Running
in Minutes.

From unboxing to a live AllStarLink node — here's exactly how to do it. No guesswork. No forum hunting. Just follow the steps.

01

Hardware Assembly

Mount the DiGi Gate V2 onto your Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header. The board is specifically shaped to align perfectly with Pi 3, 4, and 5. Attach the included SMA antenna to the RF connector. Connect power leads to your Pi's power supply (5V, min 2.5A recommended).

02

Install AllStarLink 3

Flash AllStarLink 3 onto your Raspberry Pi's SD card. The official AllStarLink image is available at allstarlink.org. Follow their first-boot wizard to register your node and configure basic settings.

wget https://downloads.allstarlink.org/asl3-latest.img.gz
03

Install the OLED Display Software

Clone the official DiGi Gate OLED repository and run the installer. This sets up the display service and enables real-time node monitoring.

git clone https://github.com/fahadmieaji/digi_gate_oled.git
cd digi_gate_oled && chmod +x install.sh && ./install.sh
04

Configure via the CLI Menu

Launch the DiGi Gate configuration menu to personalize your display. Set your callsign, node number, and display orientation — all from a simple terminal interface.

sudo digi-gate-menu
05

Program the SA818 Radio Module

Use the SA818-MENU utility to configure the radio module's frequency, CTCSS/DCS tones, squelch level, and TX power. The DiGi Gate V2 fully supports this tool for professional radio programming.

sudo sa818-menu

Select Hi/Low power via the hardware jumper on the board — no software needed.

06

Go Live — You're on the Air! 📡

With everything configured, your OLED will light up showing your IP, node number, callsign, and live status. Connect to your node from any AllStarLink client and start communicating. Your DiGi Gate V2 is live.

By Ham Operators.
For Ham Operators.

TORUN isn't a corporate electronics company that stumbled into amateur radio. We are amateur radio operators — licensed, passionate, and deeply embedded in the global ham radio community. Every member of our team holds a callsign.

The DiGi Gate V2 was born from frustration with the compromises in existing AllStarLink interfaces. So we designed one from scratch — engineered specifically for the rigors of digital amateur radio operation, and built to last.

Proudly designed by S21RC and manufactured in Dhaka, Bangladesh 🇧🇩. From a country with a thriving amateur radio community, to operators everywhere.

Got Questions?
We've Got Answers.

Does the DiGi Gate V2 work with AllStarLink 3?
+
Yes. The DiGi Gate V2 is fully compatible with AllStarLink 3 (ASL3). We have a complete setup video tutorial covering the full ASL3 + DiGi Gate V2 installation and configuration process. Check our Facebook page or YouTube channel for the guide.
Which Raspberry Pi models are compatible?
+
The DiGi Gate V2 is compatible with Raspberry Pi 3, 4, and 5. It uses the standard 40-pin GPIO header and follows the Pi Hat specification. We recommend a Pi 4 (2GB or 4GB) for optimal AllStarLink performance.
Is the CM108B chip an original or clone?
+
The DiGi Gate V2 uses the original CM108B chip — not a clone. This is a key differentiator from cheaper interfaces. The original chip delivers superior audio quality, stable COS detection, and full compatibility with AllStarLink's audio requirements.
What frequencies does the SA818 support?
+
The SA818 module supports VHF (136–174 MHz) and UHF (400–480 MHz). You can switch between VHF and UHF via the hardware selector on the board (J5 jumper). Frequency, CTCSS/DCS tones, and squelch are configurable via the SA818-MENU utility.
Do you ship worldwide? What are the shipping options?
+
Yes, we ship to virtually every country. Shipping options and costs depend on your destination. Contact us via our website, Facebook, or Alibaba listing to get a shipping quote for your specific location. We ship from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Can I use this as a standalone hotspot without a Pi?
+
The DiGi Gate V2 is designed as a Raspberry Pi Hat and requires a Pi to function as an AllStarLink node. It is not a standalone device. However, when paired with a Pi running AllStarLink, it becomes an incredibly compact and self-contained gateway that needs very little space or power.
How do I get support after purchase?
+
Since all of our staff are licensed amateur radio operators, support is knowledgeable and hands-on. Reach us via our Facebook page (facebook.com/oeetorun), the GitHub repository for OLED software issues, or via the contact form on our website. We also have video tutorials covering setup and configuration.
